The Demon Within

The Demon Within.
An error causes Tengu Man to become increasingly paranoid, and, eventually, schizophrenic. He finds himself torn into two parts: one, Saigama, the man behind the mask; and two, Akuma, the Demon that resides within. Saigama, the dominant personality, is forced to come to terms with his previous misdeeds and the very presence of Akuma... what happens? Find out!

Prologue: Ignorance Is Bliss
The first part of my little saga. The Demon Within, I've called it, focusing on...well, you'll find out what happens as it unfolds. Tengu, as Saigama Inuwashi, goes up to Eurasia and meets the Cossack's daughter -- Kalinka. Who, oddly enough, asks him out. ^<^

Tradition
Part 1 of the Demon Within saga, obviously. On a trip with Shadow Man to torment farmers and draw out the goodies, Tengu is enveloped in the myth from which he is born, and summarily goes berserk. However, Blues shows up before the death toll reaches >2.

Paranoia
Part 2. Tengu stumbles in, unable to see or use his radio, and is fixed. However, upon being shut down and then reactivated, he freaks out at Cold Man. Can you say paranoia?

Family
Kalinka and Saigama talk family. Well. They DID. But I FORGOT to LOG IT. I got booted by a tropical storm and lost most of it. Just go read anyway. :|

Duty
A full company of Masters attack Seoul and the UN Plaza...for REVENGE! And...to blow stuff up, but isn't revenge more interesting?

Interlude Uno: She Blinded Me...with SCIENCE!
Kalinka and Saigama talk once again...this time, on a variety of things. Some harmless social, really. Fun. Except for the part where Sai realizes Ballade knows his secret.

Chick Magnet
Gemini and Tengu, semi-incognito at Tetsuo's in Neo-Tokyo, talk about...women? Gemini appears to be looking for someone to looove... o/`

Brotherly Love, Pt. 2
Snake Man manages to provoke Tengu again... and again... and again. So no one is surprised when Teng bolts off to go after his brother. But... he never lays a hand on Snake.

Prelude to Revelation
Tengu, as Akira Taka, ventures out to New York for a little sightseeing. He encounters a Repliforcer named Harmony, who unwittingly sparks an inner battle...

Revelation
Warning: intense. It is revealed that there is something VERY wrong with yours truly... At the same time, Sword is forced to question all that he tries to uphold. All in one night. Phew.

Voices In My Head
The Repliforce has a picnic. I crash it, with prejudice... only for a moment, though, as I'm forced to leave before I can do much more than glare at Kalinka...

Early Halloween
Dr. Wily conceives a brilliant plan to deceive the UN and set them at the Maverick's throats. I get to be a big part of it...as Storm Eagle. WAHAHAHA! Warning: graphic violence on Bass' part....don't read if you're squeamish. Or a wimp. Otherwise, it was really funny. :)

Crimson and Clover (and Waffles)
Immediately after the above log, Doc and some of the boys go for waffles and vodka in Moscow. Guess who else showed? Yep. Kalinka. You'd think the girl has a death wish...

Snake in the Grass
Tengu heads out to San An for lunch and comes across Snake Man and Spin Cougar, which... mrrf? Not much I can say about this log...

Un Dia de Penitencia(A Day of Penance)
Saigama-Tengu ventures out to Eurasia, seeking to take part in an age-old tradition: El Dia de los Muertos. And who better to unknowingly reinforce his self-imposed duty of remembering the dead than Abernathy, UN diplomat extraordinaire.

Interlude Dos: Shards Fall On Victoria
A rain of shards fall from Starhaven on Victoria, British Columbia. For reasons unexplained, Tengu assists in the effort to stop them...

My Sundown
Saigama-Tengu goes out to Seoul and runs into Abernathy and Kalinka and a few other notables. But we can't forget the ice cream...

I Fall To Pieces
Sai-Tengu, everbody's favorite sulky teen, runs into Bowie at a bookstore, and is then struck with a plague of memory problems. He admits this to his brothers, and Plant Man takes action. Intense!

NIGH TP
Chosen One
Tengu, after having been the victim of one attack by Cancer before, calls out the Crab Stardroid. Surprisingly enough, Cancer comes when he calls. Little does he know that Cancer has plans for him...

Truth Will Out
During the Debate being sponsored by the UN on what to do about the Stardroids, the truth about Tengu's allegiances comes out. Unfortunately, it's during a fight with the Shadow Hunter Kaph, and of course, the family is not too happy when they hear...

Not Like Us
After a raid on New York's Business District that leaves Tengu unconscious by Silo's hand, our dashing hero is... left behind by Crash and Guts Man -- after all, who wants (or needs) a Punk Judas? News travels fast in NYC, though, and the news of Tengu's being left behind soon reaches the ears of a certain Father of Robotics.

The End Is Nigh
The end must come for all things, even the Nigh. As the assorted heroes head up to fight it, Tengu finds himself in a terrible predicament. Freed from his avatar status in all but mind, which side does he fight for? Or should he fight at all? He retreats to the Skydeck, only to find himself in the company of Isaac and Tron Bonne.

note: the next three logs may have been before the Nigh TP, but I don't remember. >_- So they go after.

Vacation, Day 1: Lone Star
Taking Dr. Light's advice on vacations, Tengu decides to go on one. As Saigama Inuwashi, of course, as Kalinka invites him over to the C Ranch in Texas... along with Silo (and Bowie, naturally.)

Vacation, Day 2: Brother Mine
Day two of The Vacation. All four members of the Love Trapezoid (Bowie, Tengu, Silo, and Kalinka) attempt to relax on the ranch amidst equine antics, but a certain Maverick decides to drop in and say hello.

Vacation, Day 3: Take Me Home
Saigama attempts to leave Texas on foot and utterly fails to go anywhere but south (literally). Fortunately, the rest of the Love Trapezoid and a cranky GPS system come to his rescue.

Note: a couple logs go here. They'll be up as soon as I get organized.

Angel in Distress
The end has come for Saigama and Akuma. Their tattered programming can no longer support them, and according to Wily, they have four days to live. It takes Saigama until the fourth day to finally say his goodbyes. Warning: angst, although this is one of my faves.

The Demon Within plot ends here -- or DOES it? Despite having been freed from the shackles of multiple personalities, the newly reprogrammed Tengu Man must still bear the stigmata of their memories, and the problems they've left unsolved...the sins left unabsolved, the pain left laid bare...
