The United States Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has
established an enhanced screening process at Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)
and Hobby Airport (HOU). All customers are now required to obtain a boarding
pass before entering the security checkpoint.
Previous to this change,
ticketed passengers without boarding passes could enter security checkpoints.
Passengers traveling on wholly domestic itineraries are encouraged to use
self-service check-in machines or curbside check-in service to obtain a boarding
pass. Otherwise, before going to security, passengers must visit an airline
ticket counter and obtain the newly required boarding passes. Gates and private
clubs inside security will still be able to change boarding passes.
