Los
Angeles California. From Touchstone Pictures,
“Life Aquatic” is the latest movie
involving Scuba Diving, arriving in theatres in time for Christmas.
Bill Murry plays a Jacques Cousteau-like
internationally famous oceanographer that sets sail on an expedition to hunt
down a mysterious and possibly non-existent Jaguar Shark that killed his
partner during the filming of their latest documentary.
The underwater scenes were shot at a Disney studio sound stage tank. Murry was certified as an Open Water Diver for the movie. Willem Defoe was a certified diver before going into the project.
The movie is loaded
with outrageous and funny scenes placed in serious situations.
Jeff Goldblum and
Angelica Huston round out the cast.
