The Shenberger Family first appeared in America in 1732 when Balthasar Schönberger arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, aboard the Pink Plaisance. He settled in York County, Pennsylvania in 1736. The Shenberger family has spread throughout the United States, but the majority of Balthasar's descendants still live in York County, with smaller numbers in Ohio and Illinois.
I have been working on a 13 year project to identify all descendants of the immigrant, Balthasar Schönberger. This page contains the results of that research. With any project of this size and nature, there is a chance of making an error in a date, place, or a relationship. Care has been taken to reduce the number of errors. Some of the information has been provided by other researchers and some has been taken from secondary sources. All of the information has not been proven. Please use this information accordingly. Any additions or corrections are gladly welcomed and appreciated. |
