Let me begin by giving you a brief history of my car. Actually I almost bought
a black 1998 WS6. It was sitting on the lot at a dealer back in my hometown of Houma, Louisiana.
I figured I could get a really good deal on this car since it the 1999's were scheduled to
come out in a few weeks. I drove to the dealer from Houston, Texas and test drove the 98
and was down to the bargining, but the dealer just wouldn't budge from on the sticker price.
So I figured what the hell, black isn't my favorite color and if I'm gonna spend that much
money, I'll wait to get one in the color I really want. Well, that brings up another problem,
the color I wanted (Silver) was discontinued for 1999, but there was the new color for 1999
called Pewter Metallic. Since I was not sure what this color looked like, I put my name on two
cars a Pewter Metallic WS6 and a Navy Blue Metallic WS6. Well as you can see I went with the
Pewter Metallic. Now began the waiting game as most of you WS6 owners know. There were multiple delays in
the delivery of my WS6 like the GM Strike, a WS6 hood shortage, and a problem with the color
match with the Pewter Metallic paint. After 4 months of waiting and anticipation, I finally
took delivery of my 1999 WS6 just before Thanksgiving 1998. The car was WS6 production #455 for 1999.
Here are some significant dates in reguards to my car:
