EMPLOYMENT: Currently retired from the USAF Veterinary Corps, 1982. Twenty-one years as an Air Force veterinarian. Experience with large kennels of attack dogs in Europe, Southeast Asia and the United States. [Advisor to the Department of Livestock Development, Royal Thai Ministry of Agriculture at Bankok, and the Royal Thai Military Working Dog School at Chantuk.] Seven years experience teaching disaster/emergency medicine and the effects of nuclear, chemical, and biological warfare. First chief of Medical Readiness for the USAF Europe, Surgeon's office.

Recently with the City of Houston, Department of Health and Human Services, 1982-1992. Nine and one half years experience as chief of Veterinary Public Health and chief of Houston's Bureau of Animal Regulation and Care. Investigated 2000 to 3000 animal bites annually. 30,000+ animal impoundments annually.

Now permanently retired: Occasionally consults on animal bite litigation.
Writes mystery novels, occasional newspaper columns, and magazine articles.
