FLIGHT TIPS

Houston has three public airports. The hotels and wedding facility are located in the Clear Lake area of Houston. The closest airport to this area is Ellington Field (EFD), about a 15-minute drive. However, only Continental operates in and out of this airport, and there are only a few flights per day so scheduling may be difficult. Also, there are no car rental facilities at this airport.

The next closest airport to the Clear Lake area is Houston Hobby (HOU), about a 25-minute drive. Delta and Southwest are the two major airlines that operate out of this airport, although they also serve several other carriers. There are several car rental facilities here, all available to book over the internet.

The furthest airport is Bush Intercontinental (IAH), about a 50-minute drive. Unfortunately, this is the largest airport and the most likely to provide the best airfare. There are also many car rental facilities here. The good news is that it is located near Interstate 45, so it will be easy to navigate to the Clear Lake area, but do plan for the extra time necessary to travel.
