Olympic Torch Relay Frequencies

Hot off the press:

Torch came through Bryan/College Station on the way to Houston on May 21, 1996. This is what I and a friend of mine, Sly Kapchinski, found.

154.950 coordination between local police, DPS, etc.

were at least two Georgia State Police in caravan

167.6125 friend heard some scrambled and some in-the-clear traffic

were apparently two FBI units in the caravan

461.5625

464.3625 seems to be main frequency and had unit radio checks. Called "MEDIA 1"

units called "motor #"

464.500

464.625

468.375 sounds distorted

468.4125

468.4625

468.9125

469.4375

469.550

Sorry, this is all I can tell you. Was too busy looking for frequencies in short time I was able to listen that determining the specific use of each frequency was not possible. There are Coca Cola trucks in the caravan as well and it seems like they have the sole permission to ride in the caravan. No other vendors can sell their stuff to the crowds. The other frequencies besides the main 464.3625 were used in conjunction at a park in College Station where some event took place. All the UHF frequencies used DPL code squelch but several DPLs were noted between the different frequencies.
