Welcome to FittsWorld
FittsWorld is organized as a theme park with various attractions. Think of this page as
the entrance, and the menu items as separate areas to visit. Each FittsWorld attraction
has its own unique look and feel, similar to exhibits in a theme park. This news section
is used to update our guests about improvements and new content.
Eric updates the Sports Den - May 1999
Eric's page has been completely remodeled, including new content. The page now contains
some homemade baseball cards, based on our real collection. Eric and I worked on the
cards together, and we think they make very interesting reading. So please take a look,
and then let Eric know how you liked it.
Fitts family sweeps Piano Guild awards! - May 4
The Fitts children were District winners at this year's National Piano Guild contest.
Sara received a Superior+ rating (highest possible) with a score of 33 in the most difficult
competion class. Eric achieved a Superior in his class with a score of 20 (outstanding
for a second year student), and had ZERO markdowns. I guess now we know where the talent
is in this family. Congratulations!
The S. Fitts Gallery joins the FittsWorld network - April 1999
FittsWorld welcomes our first hosted site, The S. Fitts Gallery. This site is dedicated
to the artwork of Sara Fitts. Yes, she is related to the webmaster, but please don't hold
that against her. =) The S. Fitts Gallery started on Geocities, but soon moved to
FittsWorld to escape those nasty popup ads. Please visit the gallery, get some culture,
and experience the work of a future multimedia star.
Recent site design and format changes - April/May 1999
There were several changes to this page, most notably a brand new header logo. The
Attractions marquee was also recently revamped. Thanks to Bill for the mouse over java
script code. The news section scroll bar has been moved to the right edge of the page,
and the text colors have been revised. MidiLand was completely remodeled to eliminate
the frames, and several of the pages (including this one) have new backgrounds.
New Baldur's Gate page joins Webring - April 1999
FittsWorld is proud to announce that BioWare has added our new Baldur's Gate page to the
Baldur's Gate Webring. The page has expanded quite a bit recently, and more is on the
way. The great new banner logo for the page was made by future graphic artist, Sara
Fitts. Thanks to Belgarion at Baldur's Gate II Temple for announcing our page in his April
13 news section.
Diablo page debuts - April 1999
The Diablo page has finally opened for business. This page contains information about
my Diablo characters, some links, and a few stories. I played some MP3 files of Diablo
music in the background during final QC, and it really helped create the proper mood.
You can find a link to those MP3 files on my page, along with a lot more.
Computer Games page updated - March 1999
This page was the first to receive some attention in the process of updating the existing
attractions. I added a Baldur's Gate section, reworked a few sections, and made sure
that all the links work. So please check it out, especially if you are bored with your
current game selection. (John?)
New look gets rave reviews!
The comments have begun to pour in, and we have been noticed by none other than the famous
webmaster herself, the Twiglet! Twiglet weighs in with "two thumbs up" for the new
look, saying that the color scheme is very nice. Thanks Twiglet, and please be sure
to send some of your friends by to have a look.
FittsWorld remodels - March 1999
The park entrance needed a face lift, and I wanted to eliminate all of the animated
graphics. The focus of this page is to provide a functional gateway to the rest of the
park, and the animations slowed the load time considerably without improving the content.
The individual park attractions will still have their own look, and my plan is to upgrade each
of them as well over the next few months.
About FittsWorld
FittsWorld is located on the World Wide Web. The park occupies 5 square mb of cyberspace,
and operates completely unattended 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Best of all,
FittsWorld offers FREE ADMISSION!! Children Half Price!! So please enjoy your visit, and
don't forget your complimentary Slushee. We also encourage all patrons to place a comment
card in the mailbox before exiting. A text menu of attractions appears at the bottom of
the page for graphically-challenged guests.
A brief site history
FittsWorld opened June 1, 1997 to a small but happy crowd. The park doubled in size in
May 1998, when it moved from AT&T to PDQ. The new 1999 layout is designed to load
quickly, and will rely on content rather than animated graphics. Nostalgia buffs can get
one last look at the final version of the old site

If you are looking for a good web provider in Houston, you might consider
PDQ. They sure beat
AT&T WorldNet, who really ticked me off before I dumped them. It's hard to believe
that AT&T would treat a shareholder that way.
This site is designed to be viewed at 800x600 resolution using a version 4 browser.
If you use some other resolution or older browser, well... it probably doesn't look
right. Please notify the webmaster if you have any problems viewing the site.
