Tickers from shortwave news outlets available for download
Two free desktop scrolling news tickers are available for downloading from major international shortwave news services. The applications run on your desktop, and the BBC News version is customizable to your worldwide and UK news, sports and entertainment interests.

The Radio Netherlands desktop news ticker includes a constantly-updating gray-line map, showing which part of the globe is illuminated by the sun at any time (or more importantly for the shortwave listener, which parts are in darkness).
The recent two-part International Listener special feature A Visit to Bush House, originally published in the January and February editions of Shortwave News, is now archived on its own separate page. Audio clips of the full-length interviews with newsroom editor Steve Titherington and senior producer Josephine Hazely from the African languages section have been added to the page, as well as a link to hear a stateside interview with BBC World Service business reporter Mark Gregory.
