| Now we
get to the scary part of the project.... |

This is probably the most complicated part
of the project. Everything else you can touch, feel and see it
working, but the wiring is very complicated and difficult to diagnose if
there is a problem. I have nightmares where the car won't start and
we have no idea why.

The wiring harness, fuse box and computer were removed
from the donor Mustang. We sent it to Roger Stein to have the
unnecessary circuits removed and test all the remaining circuits.

| Here is the pedal box area it will
contain many connections Some will run the brake lights as well as
the clutch switch. Also the fuse box will be located in this area. |

|
|
| The engine computer will be
located in the passenger foot box. The computer primarily controls
the operation of the engine ignition and fuel injection. |

|
|
| There is quite a bit of wiring in
the passenger area. Some will run from the gauges along the dashboard
and some will come in from the engine compartment. |

|
|
|
| Here is the rear wiring
harness. This harness runs the fuel pump and gas level
gauge. The wiring for the tail lights is also contained in the
rear harness. In addition there is a fuel inertia switch that will
disable the fuel pump in the event of an accident. |

|
|
|
| The battery will be located in the
rear of the car above the axle. The rear harness and the battery cable
will run along the inside of the transmission tunnel. |

|
|
| The coil and the starter solenoid
are mounted on the driver side of the car near the master
cylinder. The starter solenoid also acts as a junction block for
the power supply to the wiring harness. |

| To keep things simple at first we
used the stock ignition switch from the Mustang. Eventually we
will cut the wires and install a smaller switch on the dashboard. |
