2. This inventory will include item nomenclature, serial number, and location.
The Technical Support Officer will advise and assist instructors and cadet leadership in the use of common computer programs necessary to the operation of the Falcon Battalion. He or she will be expert in the following programs at a minimum:
a. Microsoft Word
b. Power Point
c. Excel
d. Paint
e. Internet Explorer
f. Windows Explorer
The Technical Support Officer will ensure instructors and cadet chain of command are equipped with the necessary communications and ADP apparatus for each event or activity ROTC executes.
The Technical Support Officer will advise instructors and cadet leadership on improvements needed in the areas of communications, ADP and AV aids.
In the event of a malfunction of communication, ADP, or AV equipment, the Technical Support Officer will perform whatever repair techniques he or she can safely perform within his or her span of knowledge. Should the repair be beyond that, the Technical Support Officer will submit a work order for repair.
The Technical Support Officer will serve as the liaison between the ROTC leadership and the webmaster. He or she will become very familiar with the website, review it often, and become somewhat familiar with website design. The Technical Support Officer will take recommendations for changes from the instructors and cadet leadership, and submit them to the webmaster in a format he or she can adopt to the website.
