This is my husband, August Al-Uqdah. He was born and raised here in Houston.
He had to leave Houston momentarily for college to take up Biological Engineering in Cornell
in New York. He has been working with Accenture for almost 3 years now.
We've been married for two years already. It is so funny how time flies so quickly. I still
cant believe that I am married. No kids just yet..maybe in three years..or four...it depends...
just not now.
August and I recently bought a house in Sugar Creek. It's a nice house that we've been trying to
improve. The first thing we did was to paint the rooms. I love colors so I colored the kitchen yellow,
the dining room red and my bedroom blue. We still have not finished painting yet. Our next project
was the laminate floors. We placed laminate floors in our office. It came out very beautiful.
I'm proud of our work. The next project we did was to replace the kitchen flooring with Spanish
tiles. We havent finished that project yet. We probably need one more week to put the grout. The
next project after the tiles would be laminate floors in the dining. So if you need tips on how
to remodel the interior of your house, we probably have some for you.
I have gained a lot of great friends while living here in Houston. I mostly like to go out with
other married couples. We usually have coffee and just sit and talk or watch a movie. Here are
a couple of pictures taken while celebrating the coming of year 2001. Azra, my good friend is
with me in the picture. Adnan, the husband of Azra and also my good friend is with August.
